Outline
5000 shells! , the volume that hold one hour fireworks display normally in japan. But this time, only 8 minutes. There were 5 launching spot, per about 1000 shells. (4969 shells include 32 pieces12" one exactly)
All15 fireworks factory in Nagano involved in this time project. They prepare from november last year. Using shells are all made in Nagano. Nagano is most high quality round shell-producing center in Japan. This time, I believe that many audience in the world saw fine chrysanthemum shell with multi pistil and others.
This project, its very special case by reason of Olympic. Because, there are some private house and farming vinyl house in launching zone. Normally, never permit to shoot up fireworks in that area. Though NAOC request cooperate of taking refuge to people who live in launching area at the day. As a result, about 50 people take refuge to other safty area at the launchig time. This fantastic fireworks display was completed thanks to the united efforts of a great number of neighboring people. Probably, never launching again in this place in future.
Contents of "Four seasons"
"Four seasons",that is theme of this program. Display japnese four seasons by fireworks. It consists of 5 part, four seasons and ending.
Each part consists of about 200 shells.
Shell size:
Starmines:maximum 6".
Single shot:maximum 12"and 10"(only one spot where back of the Olympic flame,maximum 12". This is the main pole of launching)
Contents of each part:
Spring: Green peony starmines. Green comets starmines.
Green peony with purple pistil. Purple peony with green pistil.
12"and 10" Floral shell of shells.
Summer: Blue peony starmines. Red peony starmines.
12"and 10" Sunflower and Gold palmtrees.
Autumn: 12"and 10",Chrysanthemum with pistil,double pistil, triple pistil.
Winter: 12"and 10" Silver peony with silver pistil. Silver peony starmines.
Ending: Varius color of ring starmines. 12"and 10"Kaleidoscope. Flash & comets starmines. Gold crown starmines.
